With an increase in demand for the R4 more and more customers are coming online in search of this great gadget. There are a few main reasons why people are coming online in search of the R4 DS. The R4 is no considered by many as the ‘ultimate gadget for your Nintendo DS or DSi console.

There are two main types of R4; R4 and R4i. The R4 is the original type and was made for use with the Nintendo DS gaming console. The original R4 supports up to a 2GB Micro SD memory card and to use a larger memory card you would need the R4 SDHC which can take up to a 32GB memory card. SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity, these cards are usually 4GB or larger and can usually transfer data much quicker. 

The R4i is made for use with the newer Nintendo DSi console; it also supports the newest firmware thanks to the R4 team’s constant updates and developments. After choosing an R4 that is right for you will need to choose a memory card, we offer between 2GB and 8GB memory cards because in our opinion that is all you will ever need. Remember to use a 4GB or greater memory card you will need the R4 SDHC, but lucky for you we already bundle our 4GB memory cards with the SDHC version of the R4 DS.
